Almost There (In a Few Ways)!

In 13 days I will be boarding a plane that will make a brief stop in London, but then finally return me to Uganda.

The other way that I’m almost there is, I have raised $2,043! This is 77.09% (I’m terrible at math and thankful for calculators) of the total amount that I need to raise and now I have only $602 (or 32.91% – I did that one in my head) to go!

The exciting part about this is, not only am I almost to the amount that I need to raise, but I have reached the amount that I am able to go on the trip! I do have to pay the rest off within a week or two of returning (which I would love help with if you are able: https://www.formstack.com/forms/tiu_forms-missions_giving_uganda), but at least I am for sure going to get to go!

My friends Bill and Kevin (http://kgholmen.blogspot.com/) will be going to ABIDE with me and I’m really excited about seeing what the Lord does in and through us in our time there.

I also decided it might be a good idea to look through what I need to prepare for upon returning after the trip in terms of school work, and let’s just say I have a lot to do in these next 13 days.

If you wouldn’t mind…
It would be awesome if you could be lifting Bill, Kevin and me up in prayer and petition that the Lord would give us His eyes, His heart, His strength and His wisdom to both have an impact on those we encounter as well as having our hearts open to be impacted by them and by the Lord. Pray that we will never be the same and that God would help us to understand what our specific roles are in His work in the world (whether in Uganda or elsewhere). If it’s not too much to ask, please also be praying the same for the rest of our team as well as all of our safety and health in our travels.

Soli Deo Gloria,
Carl
